This role is responsible for delivering high-quality creative outputs across visual merchandising, packaging and broader design briefs.
With a strong focus on brand consistency and visual excellence, the Graphic Designer plays a key role in bringing Myer's creative vision to life across multiple customer touchpoints.About the role:Be a brand guardian to ensure all touch points are protected and are in line with the creative vision/guide.Manage time across multiple projects to deliver results on time, whilst providing detailed and quality feedback throughout projects to key stakeholders.Manage positive and productive relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders and store teams.Work alongside key stakeholders such as Designer's and Buyer's across Merchandise.Work with the Homewares team to ensure photography direction for back of packaging is aligned with Style guides and brand guidelines.Assist with any ad hoc projects as required.Develop artwork for all visual merchandise elements to be produced to support marketing campaignsMange brand artwork for all fixtures across the store networkDevelop and manage the directional signage artwork in all storesDevelop artwork for all new and refurb store requirementsDevelop packaging and labelling Style Guides in line with the overall company brand strategyDevelop packaging and labelling finished art for individual product requirements based on the style guide and sustainability targetsManage the packaging and labelling artwork deadline schedule to ensure product deliveries are met to drive commercial successDevelop creative concepts and design solutions in response to briefs and job requests.Deliver high-quality design and finished art across various projects.Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and output requirements.Ensure all files are prepared, named, and stored in line with studio protocols.Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and design forecasts to keep work relevant and innovative.About you:Proven experience in delivering creative, inspirational, and commercially effective visual design solutions, ideally within retail or visual merchandising.Formal qualifications in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related discipline.Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) on Mac OS.Strong technical expertise in Microsoft applications.Typography and image retouching skills.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence, build, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Outstanding time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, adapt, and deliver in fast-paced or uncertain environments.Meticulous attention to detail in preparing finished art, including font management, meeting deadlines, and applying knowledge of diverse print processes.Strong capability in presenting and articulating design concepts clearly, while being receptive to constructive feedback and alternate perspectives.Solid understanding of brand identity and marketing strategy, with the ability to translate these into consistent, on-brand design outcomes.Benefits to you:Generous team member discounts on all Myer products, including team-member exclusive discounts.Access to lifestyle leave and volunteer leave - arrange work around your life, not life around work.A supportive leadership and team network to set you up for success.Career growth and succession opportunities across the business.Here, you're not only an employee.
