**About The Hotel Valern**:
Part of the Vantage Hotel Group, which includes 12 community-focused venues across Tasmania, the Valern Hotel is proudly located in the heart of Moonah. **What you can expect in a day in this role**:
In this role, you will be responsible for attending to inquiries from our gaming patrons, preparing and dispensing beverages, and providing exceptional customer service.

Some of your day-to-day duties will include:

- Managing and maintaining gaming functions and operations
- Managing TAB functions
- Day-to-day operations of gaming rooms
- Assisting patrons with both food and beverage orders, inquiries and complaints
- Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards

**What you will bring to the role**:
Along with excellent customer service and the ability to take initiative, you will have:

- Demonstrated cash handling proficiency
- Knowledge of all gaming machine regulations, compliance, operations, and procedures
- An understanding of food & beverage products and services
- A professional & mature "can do" attitude with the ability to work autonomously
- Current Responsible Service of Gaming Certificate (RSG)
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
- _Keno Writer & Gaming Machine Attendant or Senior Keno Writer and Gaming Machine Supervisor Certificates and TAB would be advantageous_

**_Please note:_**_ Success in this role requires flexibility to work a range of evening and weekend shifts, with finishes as late as 4:00 AM. Availability on public holidays may also be required._
