Are you an RN who is seeking employment as a midwifery student at Northern Beaches Hospital?
Our Graduate Diploma in Midwifery Program is now open for applications at Northern Beaches Hospital.
This program will provide you with a supportive and caring environment in which to learn, develop and consolidate clinical skills in midwifery.
Graduate Diploma in Midwifery Program Includes:
Experienced preceptors for initial and ongoing support
A structured program across the continuum of maternal and newborn care
Continuity of care experiences in line with university requirements
Support from highly skilled staff
Flexible rostering
Purpose built onsite education centre with the latest technology for teaching, simulation and presentations
Opportunity for permanent employment on completion of the program
Selection Criteria:
Current Nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Registered Nurse with minimum 1 year full time experience in an acute care setting
Concurrent Enrolment in a Diploma of Midwifery University program at UTS or WSU
Ability to undertake Part Time employment of FTE 0.84, 8 and 12 hr shifts on a 7-day rotating roster
Understanding the role of a midwife within a primary healthcare framework
Demonstrated ability in clinical problem solving.
Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of, and ability to work within a team

Applicants will be required to provide a current (12 months or less) National Police check and a NSW Working with Children's Check, prior to appointment and persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases prior to commencement.
