About The Role

Providing excellent resident and patient care is always very rewarding for staff. Residents value staff spending time with them and talking to them whilst cleaning duties are undertaken.
This varied and interesting role may include transferring patients within the hospital, linen maintenance & medical supply restocking, cooking and/or preparing light refreshments of patients, delivering meals to patients and residents and collection of trays after meals, loading and unloading the dishwasher, general cleaning as required including rooms and equipment and assisting generally as directed by nursing staff.
You will need to be reliable, punctual and energetic, physically fit, have a caring and supportive attitude and use your good communication skills to be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team. The successful applicant will work closely with all departments in the hospital. You will have the ability and willingness to work shifts, on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities
Transfer patients within the hospital (as required).
Maintain linen and restock medical supplies.
Cook and/or prepare light refreshments for patients.
Deliver meals to patients and residents and collect trays after meals.
Load and unload the dishwasher.
General cleaning of rooms and equipment and assist as directed by nursing staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
Reliable, punctual and energetic.
Physically fit with a caring and supportive attitude.
Good communication skills; able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Ability and willingness to work shifts on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
Willingness to work in a small team and engage with the community.
