**Your purpose**:As Quality & Safety Manager for MSI Australia, your key function is to coordinate our quality and safety functions across the organisation. You will provide the Head of Risk & Safety, DON and leadership teams with support and advice in relation to quality and accreditation requirements. You will have a strong focus on incident management to inform risk throughout the organisation with skills in data analysis and report writing. You will be responsible for the organisation's client feedback management. To support better client outcomes, you will assist in the design, implementation and monitoring of safety initiatives to drive a Safety First culture.

**Location**: Support Office, Melbourne CBD

**Term**:Full-Time, Fixed-Term (36 months)

**Reports to**:Head of Risk and Safety, Director of Nursing

**Works closely with**: Head of Clinical Services, Head of Clinical Education, Learning and Development, Nurse Unit Managers

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with ensuring Quality, Safety and Risk Principles are integrated into the day-to-day operations and all facets of service delivery
- Manage the organisation's client feedback management processes, systems and responses
- Ensure quality activities and processes support successful accreditation requirements
- Work across all levels of the organisation to identify, recommend and monitor outcomes of improvements to current processes, quality of care and service delivery
- Coordinate, design and deliver improvement activity resources and communications to the organisation
- Integrate best practice processes & systems into quality improvement programs
- Coordinate quality plans and reporting to appropriate committees and external bodies
- Participate in the organisational audit framework, external benchmarking and reporting requirements
- Administration and daily function of the incident management system
- Participate in the review and management of clinical risk and patient safety

**Your Profile**:

- Fiercely Pro-choice and champion of women and pregnant people's rights
- Passionate about de-stigmatising abortion, sexual and reproductive health
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian healthcare industry, relevant legislation, industry codes of practice, relevant standards and organisational policy & procedure processes
- Advanced understanding and experience in quality & safety management and reporting
- Experience in client feedback management processes and preparing responses
- Experience facilitating RCA investigations, aggregated incident analysis and case reviews
- Demonstrated experience with all aspects of the NSQHS Standards accreditation process & requirements
- Demonstrated administrative experience with the incident management system, RiskMan
- Experience in clinical risk assessment and reporting
- Experience driving a culture of high-quality care with a safety focus across a health organisation
- Ability to work collaboratively, and as a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills including written and verbal
- A strong ability to actively listen and work with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to manage competing and consecutive priorities

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Registered Nurse or Midwife and AHPRA registered
- Project management experience or qualification (desirable)
- Educational experience or qualification (desirable)
