Full-time, Fixed-Term position until July 2027 Based on the Melbourne CBD campus, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.About YouWe are seeking a dynamic leader passionate about advancing the educational landscape and enhancing student experience.
As Associate Director, Learning Experience, you will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and a strong ability to engage collaboratively with diverse education stakeholders to lead the design and development of education initiatives.
Your proven track record in managing high-level projects and strategic initiatives will be pivotal in elevating teacher capability and integrating innovative teaching and learning practices.You will be adept at using diverse metrics to inform strategic initiatives and your role will be crucial in achieving superior outcomes for students and employers.
You will lead teams who support learning and teaching innovation in program delivery across the College of Vocational Education's five industry clusters, and collaborate seamlessly with central support areas and broader University teams as required.Your outstanding leadership skills will be essential as you lead teams across four key work streams: Learning & Teaching Innovation, Teacher Capability, Indigenous Learning, and Innovation Projects.You will ensure the successful development and implementation of education solution design projects of up to $10 M.Candidates with experience in the education sector are highly desirable, as your insights will shape the future of learning at RMIT.To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum: Strong leadership skills and demonstrated experience implementing quality learning design processes and improvements to enhance the learner experience and improve student outcomes.
A strong record of innovative teaching underpinned by a deep understanding of contemporary learning and teaching theory and the capacity to exercise strategic and practical leadership.
Experience leading teams, managing staff performance and mentoring and supporting teams encouraging learner-centric mindset to achieve best practice.
Demonstrated experience successfully leading complex education-based projects and capability building initiatives.
Ability to draw upon new and emerging technologies and practices, and drive the uptake of innovative tools, learning methodologies and assessment pedagogies.
Experience in developing, leading and supporting program improvement in ASQA and TEQSA regulatory environments, with an understanding of pathways.
Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the ability to liaise with both internal and external clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds and organisational levels.Qualifications Relevant qualifications and proven expertise in the leadership of operational teams in an educational environment, and relevant industry experience.Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.About The College of Vocational EducationThe purpose of RMIT's College of Vocational Education is to empower learners and our industry, community and government partners to succeed in the new world of work.
