Type : Part-Time Term : Temporary Position Details Education Assistant (Kindergarten) St Thomas More Catholic Primary School is a single-stream regional school catering for about 215 students from Pre-Kindy to Year 6.
We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled and passionate Education Assistant who is vibrant, enthusiastic and motivated and loves working in a collaborative, fun and engaging environment.
The position is a Temporary Part-Time position, working days are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the possibility of being extended into the future.
Selection Criteria The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
• A commitment to contribute to the Catholicity of the school and its community.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated teaching team.

• A high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

• A committed and enthusiastic approach to working with children at a Kindergarten age and an understanding of early childhood development, play-based learning and the Early Years Learning Framework.

• The ability to work with individual children and small groups to support their academic, social, emotional and physical development.

• A willingness to be fully involved in the life of the school and take on extra roles as required.

• A positive, enthusiastic and dynamic demeanour.

• The ability to show initiative, be adaptable and respond flexibly to the diverse needs of students in a dynamic classroom environment.

• Willingness to be a reflective member of a professional learning community.
Qualifications Required
• Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care.

• Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School.
