**About the Venue**:
The **Southern Cross Hotel** is a vibrant and welcoming venue offering the perfect blend of hospitality, comfort, and charm. Recently refurbished throughout, the hotel features a modern bistro with an all-day dining menu, a sun-drenched terrace, full TAB and Keno facilities, and a drive-through bottle shop. With affordable accommodation close to Sydney CBD, the Southern Cross Hotel is known for its friendly atmosphere, great food and drinks, and its versatility as a local favourite for casual catch-ups, celebrations, and relaxed stays.

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Housekeeper** to join our team on a **Casual basis**. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are cleaned and presented to the highest standard, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for all guests.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Clean and service guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel spaces to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
- Ensure all housekeeping tasks are completed efficiently and according to daily schedules
- Report maintenance issues, lost property, or safety concerns promptly to the relevant department
- Replenish amenities, linen, and guest supplies as required
- Follow safe work procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and WHS policies at all times
- Assist in maintaining housekeeping supplies, equipment, and storage areas in a tidy and organised manner
- Provide friendly and courteous service to guests when encountered during daily duties.

**About You**:

- Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or similar roles in hospitality is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays as required.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $31.23 - $37.47 per hour
