Tumby Bay Health Service is seeking a Services Assistant to join our casual pool.
You'll play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, catering, and overall smooth running of our health services while working within a supportive team.About the RoleAs a Services Assistant, your key responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, preparing and serving meals to patients, and assisting with laundry duties.
You will ensure a safe and clean environment by performing tasks such as mopping, dusting, washing, and window cleaning.
You may also assist with food preparation, including preparing meals and delivering food trays to patients.
Your role will support the overall functioning of the hospital, contributing to the comfort and well-being of our patients.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain high standards of cleanliness across Tumby Bay Health ServicePerform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and rubbish disposalAssist with laundry duties, including collection and delivery of linenSupport catering tasks like meal preparation and food delivery to patientsWork independently and as part of a team, ensuring efficient service deliveryApplicant InformationAppointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.
