**The opportunity**:
This is a terrific opportunity to join one of the leading in-house agency teams in Australia

In this role, you will lead our in-house agency, working alongside the Art Director Manager, Designer Manager and Creative Director to drive outstanding communications. Running a small team of dedicated copywriters, your role will be pivotal in leading conceptual and tactical thinking, uplifting copy and creativity.

Collaborating with cross-department stakeholders in the business will give you unparalleled insight into MYOB - how the product functions, and the many audiences you're writing to.

**A bit about you**:
You're outstanding with words but even better with how, why and when to use them. You will encourage the copywriters you lead your team. You won't be afraid to challenge the norm, yourself or your team.

A confident presenter, you are comfortable communicating your work persuasively without jargon.

You'll be a creative leader and you'll enjoy working alongside other leaders. Sometimes working independently. Other times as part of a group or team tackling big ideas and problem-solving.

**What will make you a fit**:

- Leading and mentoring the in-house agency copywriters, improving their tactical thinking and ideas
- Setting the bar for creativity and ensuring the agency's creative is as creative and more effective than what an external agency could produce
- Review all creative and copy within the agency, ensuring it hits and exceeds the expectations of the brief
- Contribute to the overall success and culture of the agency by sharing your passion, and way with words, thinking and storytelling
- Developing your team through fortnightly 1:1s, performance reviews, and role-modelling of behaviours and values
- Delivering your own outstanding strategic creative thinking on campaigns and other projects
- Assist the Creative Director and collaborators at all levels to clarify briefs, and challenge audience insights; giving the creative department every chance to define expectational work

**What will you bring**:

- Significant experience in writing, creative or editorial experience
- Experience leading a team of creative writers. If you haven't, that's ok too. If you're up for the challenge of leading, we're up for investing in your development.
- Excellent writing and editing capabilities. Simplify the complex. Make every piece of work interesting;
- A knowledge of, and curiosity about, business;
- Outstanding attention to detail, including an ability to check content for style and SEO optimisation;
- Excellent time management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities;
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills

**Bonus points if you also have experience**:

- Working in financial services, FinTech, emerging technology or SaaS platforms
- Run your own business and understand the challenges that come with starting up, scaling and even failing
- Used Figma, Miro, Jira or Confluence
- Working in a complex, cross-functional organisation.
- A recent piece of conceptual work you're proud of, and tell us (briefly) why you think it's great, including the impact it had for the client/brand;
