Chandler Macleod, in collaboration with Santos, is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Adviser to join the Dorado project team in Perth, WA. The primary objective of this position is to provide high quality environmental technical support and deliver environmental regulatory approvals for the Dorado Development (Phase 1 and Phase 2). This will be delivered in line with company values and the Santos Management System.

**Tasks include**:

- Act as the lead (and potentially sole) dedicated internal environmental resource for the project.
- Ensure environmental regulatory approvals are of high quality, meet project requirements, and are delivered on time and budget.
- Management and safe execution of marine environmental surveys
- Management of externally delivered technical environmental studies e.g. oil spill modelling, predictive impact noise/light modelling etc.
- Identify, engage, and manage the required consultancy resources, as required to support the project.
- Confirm, implement and maintain environmental aspects of the Dorado HSE Management Plan, Regulatory Approvals Plan and Schedule, and Dorado Regulatory Compliance Register.
- Ensure Santos Management System, project and regulatory environmental requirements are met.
- Ensure project contracts, philosophies, standards, specifications, plans, and other Project documents address and comply with Company and Regulatory environmental requirements.
- Ensure environmental risks have been identified and assessed within the Company risk framework, and that risk management measures are adequate and being effectively implemented.
- Coordinate regulator meetings, inspections, requests for information and reporting requirements.
- Ensure there is a system in place to ensure environmental legislative requirements are known, monitored, and communicated.
- Ensure environmental support meets the allocated budget; identify and deliver opportunities to reduce costs.
- Organize, coordinate, and perform environmental assurance activities.
- Ensure environmental incidents are recorded, communicated, investigated, and corrective actions are tracked through to closure in accordance with Company and Regulatory incident management and reporting requirements.
- Ensure documents, data, and records are reviewed, stored and accessible in accordance with the information plan for the project.
- Prepare and delivery environmental awareness information and sessions as required.

**This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.**

**Location for this assignment is Perth, WA working full-time office hours.**

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Environmental Science/Engineering or related oil and gas fields.
- Extensive experience in offshore oil/gas projects, desired experience in Major Projects/FPSO.
- Experience with the regulatory regime in Australia with respect to environmental management, specifically under the OPGGS Act and Environmental Regulations.
- Experience with managing environmental service providers.
