You'll be part of something truly special, collaborating with a close-knit and supportive team across multiple departments and factories.In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all products meet our high-quality standards throughout the production cycle.
This includes reviewing samples and production, managing product compliance, and confirming that care labels, packaging, and other identifiers align with industry standards.A key aspect of the role involves working directly with our company-owned factories, training and upskilling teams to maintain excellence in garment construction.
You'll implement testing protocols, and audit patterns and grading to support fit, compliance, and product durability.We're looking for someone who is passionate about quality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to embrace innovative practices and new technologies.This is a full-time role based in our Head Office located in Hawthorn East, Melbourne.The role involves:Evaluating and approving both pre-production and shipment samples to ensure they meet all quality specifications, compliance requirements, and safety standards.Collaborating with design and production teams to address any potential issues before production starts and verify that samples adhere to company quality and regulatory standards.Identifying, monitoring, and resolving QC issues by conducting regular calls with factories and conducting regular quality checks.Developing and maintaining quality assurance manuals for product development and production, in alignment with company standards and industry regulations.Overseeing and providing training to factories on the correct submission and application of care labels, swing tags, and packaging to ensure products meet branding, regulatory, and customer guidelines.Supporting the technical patternmakers by providing a final audit of patterns before production, grading patterns, and inputting measures and grade increments into tech packs.Requirements:Proven experience in quality assurance within an apparel company (and/or a similar role in manufacturing).
Proven experience working with offshore factories.Familiarity with quality testing protocols, compliance standards, and product labeling requirements.Strong garment construction, fabric, and cutting knowledge for garment production.Ideally, you have:Proven experience as a pattern maker and/or sound understanding of technical pattern making and grading principles.Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities, particularly in identifying and resolving quality issues.Excellent communication skills and time management skills.Adaptability and self-motivated.Competency using StyleCAD or similar 2D Pattern system (a bonus).
