
Medical Receptionist/Administrator

- Exposure to medical reception, billing and patient booking is an advantage

**The Role**:
Our receptionist is the main face of our clinic which has a very welcoming and reassuring feel.
- Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
- Creating and presenting treatment plans to patients
- Scheduling appointments and keeping those appointments on time.
- Keeping a clean and calm reception area. General clinic cleaning
- Processing billing and payments using medical software and processing medicare rebates
- Monitoring and ordering stationery and clinical supplies.
- Most importantly - maintaining information confidentiality at all times.
- Dictation and sending doctor letters
- Assisting practitioner with hot towelling patients legs and putting on compression stockings after treatment
Three days per week (usually Tues - Thurs) permanent part-time. No weekends.
**The selection criteria are as follows**:
- Previous experience in a medical reception or similar administrative position (min 2 years) Any clinical experience would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- IT savvy; working knowledge of Windows-based software systems (e.g. Outlook, Word and Excel) and web-based medical software
- An understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule
- An understanding of basic medical terminology
- Driver's license (willing to travel to Robina to cover sick or annual leave)
