Seeking an experienced Wall & Floor Tiler to join the team.Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and installing tiles according to design plans.Must have Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling and 2-3 years of relevant experience.We are seeking an experienced Wall & Floor Tiler to join our team located in DarleyTasks required include:Study plans and examine surface to be covered to determine amount of material neededWaterproofing applicationSeceding the shower base surfacesMeasure and mark surfaces to be tiled, following plansCut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces and corners, using hand and power cutting tools.
Cut tile backing to required size, using shears.
Install and anchor fixtures in designated positions, using hand toolsMix and apply mortar or cement to edges and ends of drain tiles to seal halves and joints.Prepare and apply tile adhesives, position the tile and press or tap with trowel handle to affix tile to baseInstall tile in a planned area and arrange tiles per design plansDetermine and implement the best layout to achieve a desired patternAlign and straighten tile using levels, squares and straightedgesLay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designsApply grout with a rubber trowelClean and level the surface to be tiled.
Remove any old tile, grout and adhesive using chisels and scrapers and clean the surface carefullyRemove and replace cracked or damaged tileFinish and dress the joints and wipe excess grout from between tiles, using damp sponge and apply necessary finishes, such as sealants.Requirements:Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiler.At least 2-3 years relevant experience as a Wall & Floor Tiler.Stay Safe While Job HuntingWe vet all employer accounts and do our best to keep job ads safe, but scams can still occur.
