The Department of Trade, Employment and Training is seeking an experienced infrastructure and asset manager to develop, lead and implement a new Asset Condition Assessment Program across the vocational education and training asset portfolio, covering over 40 sites and over 500 buildings across Queensland.
About the role
As the Infrastructure Manager, you will be implementing and leading the departments new Asset Condition Assessment program, and more specifically be responsible to:

- Lead the Department's asset condition assessment program meeting the requirements of the Queensland Government Building Policy Framework and Guidelines.
- Lead and project manage the delivery of technology-based systems and solutions support strategic infrastructure renewal and maintenance planning.
- Support the development of strategic, regional, and operational infrastructure and asset management plans.
- Lead the development of systems and processes to support the continuous and effective governance of the asset condition assessment program.

What we are looking for
**The position requires an applicant who can**:

- Demonstrate in depth knowledge of asset management lifecycle including asset planning, acquisition, utilisation and maintenance and disposal.
- Lead change and champions high-quality service in the formulation of innovative and systems-based solutions for infrastructure planning and delivery.
- Deliver a proactive program management to establish and meet time, cost, quality and other performance targets. Manage financial expenditure and project commencement approval processes.
- Develop and organise team resources to achieve results, build technical capability to measure and improve team and overall system performance.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicate in a way that promotes trust, respect and integrity, and negotiate successful outcomes without compromising relationships.
