**The Role**:
Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your decisions make a real impact? As a Purchasing Officer, you'll be at the heart of ensuring the seamless supply of goods across the hospital. You'll manage backorders, source alternatives, and work closely with our team to ensure everything runs like clockwork. You'll be a key player in the Supply Department, driving efficient, compliant, and timely purchasing that keeps our hospital ticking.

**About You**:
You're a master at juggling tasks, keeping things organised, and love working with a team. While previous purchasing experience is a plus, it's not essential. What's more important is your:

- Confidence with databases (ERP systems) and software like Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Eye for detail and high-quality data entry skills
- Excellent time management and ability to work independently or with others
- Talent for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders

In addition, you will need to demonstrate:

- well-developed organisation and prioritisation skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- experience in a fast-paced environment
- the ability to work closely with other team members and to maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external
- excellent time management skills, flexibility, and an ability to work independently
- excellent attention to detail with high quality data entry skills
- strong written and verbal communication skills

Previous experience in a purchasing position is not essential but will be highly regarded.
