Pharmacovigilance Associate

**Description Overview**:
This role is available on a part-time basis, 3 days per week. Location: Northern Beaches NSW **OR** Balcatta WA
**Scope of the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Review potential sources of patient safety information such as customer enquiries, market research, and social media to identify adverse events and special situations.
- Report cases in safety database and make submissions to Competent Authority when required.
- Perform follow-up activities to facilitate effective case assessment.
- Perform Quality Assurance activities for pharmacovigilance systems.
- Perform local and global literature searches and process result in Perrigo's pharmacovigilance systems.
- Ensure all pharmacovigilance activities are performed in accordance with relevant standard operating procedures, industry regulations and legislation.
- Prepare Safety Data Exchange Agreements (SDEA) for services providers as required.
**Experience Required**:
**Skills & Experience**
- Previous experience in pharmacovigilance is preferred. People with a background in healthcare, the therapeutic goods industry or students currently studying a healthcare related discipline will also be considered.
- Previous experience interacting with the public. Proven ability to handle sensitive situations appropriately.
- Ability to work autonomously and deal effectively with confidential information.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
- Experience in performing pharmacovigilance literature searches would be highly regarded.
