**Overview**:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focussed Pest Control & Hygiene Technician to join our Canberra-based subcontractor team servicing commercial properties on a monthly basis. As a Pest Control & Hygiene Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pest control & hygiene services on behalf of Oracle Services.

Oracle Subcontractors work on a revenue share agreement for works completed. Hygiene consumable stock and equipment is supplied however contractors are required to provide their own equipment and chemicals for pest control.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough inspections of commercial properties to identify pest infestations and determine the extent of the problem.
- Develop and implement appropriate pest control strategies and treatment plans based on the type of infestation, customer preferences, and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to explain the pest control process, answer questions, and address any concerns.
- Provide recommendations to customers regarding sanitation practices, structural repairs, and preventive measures to minimise the risk of future pest problems.
- Conducting installations and regular servicing of hygiene equipment
- Collecting and disposing of Sanitary Waste in a hygienic and regulatory abiding manner
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, including pest activity, treatments applied, and any follow-up actions required.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient scheduling, workload, and meet service deadlines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new treatment methods, and regulatory changes related to pest control to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Uphold a professional and customer-focused attitude at all times, striving to exceed customer expectations and provide exceptional service.

**Requirements**:

- Current ACT or out of state PMT licence recognised under the through Automatic Mutual Recognition program (All states excluding QLD)
- Sound knowledge of pest control principles, methods, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify and address pest-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with and build working relationships customers and clients
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines accurately.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require bending, crawling, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid, Full Australian driver's license and a clean driving record.
- ABN Registered & holding valid workers compensation and public liability insurance
- Legally able to work in Australia

**Job Type**: Subcontract

Pay: From $16,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
