Captain Banquet

Overview
The Banquet Captain oversees, plans and directs the banquet operations including the set-up of services. The successful candidate will report directly to the Banquet Manager and will partner closely with the Catering/Sales and culinary departments to ensure the banquet operations can meet the demands successfully.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Oversees the setup of meeting spaces for banquet and catering events to ensure compliance with banquet event orders (BEO) with level of service, quality and hospitality.
Works with kitchen staff on the timing of food preparation to ensure that meals are ready on time in accordance with the event order.
Provide exceptional guest service and supervises and directs the prompt, efficient and friendly serving of all food and beverage for banquets and events.
Adhere and ensure that the required sanitation procedures are met for food handling safety.
Assist with scheduling of employees.
Completing guest checks with accuracy.
Ability and willingness to follow established processes and procedures.
Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Specific Experience We're Seeking
2 to 4 years of experience as a banquet captain or senior server is required. Hotel banquet experience is a plus.
Detail oriented with an outgoing personality and natural leadership skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong level of self-discipline and leadership.
Food Handler Certificate (if applicable)
Knowledge of computer systems such as Excel, Word, and POS.
This position requires a flexible schedule, must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
