The Lifestyle Assistant plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for residents within our Home. As a compassionate and creative individual, you will support residents in remaining connected with what is important to them. Your primary focus will be on promoting engaging and meaningful programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.

Working closely with the clinical and care teams, you will ensure the delivery of person-centered care and enjoyable activities that foster social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being.

About the role

Regis Lutwyche is a contemporary aged care home located in the inner north suburb of Brisbane on the famed Kedron Brook Trail. Our welcoming Home has excellent public transport links for employees and is close to local restaurants and cafés. As a Club Services Home, we pride ourselves in offering an extra layer of choice and services for our residents who appreciate the little extras. We are looking for a member to join our team to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 0900-1545. You will ideally have a Cert IV in Leisure and Health and a certification in Dementia or be willing to get. Previous Dementia experience is advantageous. Lutwyche has a vibrant Lifestyle program and we are looking for someone to bring their fun, excitement and ideas to our team.

How you'll support
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, demonstrating empathy and

understanding of their social and emotional needs.
- Provide companionship, engage residents in meaningful conversations, and actively listen and offer emotional support.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with the cClinical and cCare teams. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and care planning discussions to contribute insights and provide input on resident lifestyle needs.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of resident participation, preferences, and progress notes.
- Plan, organise and deliver a diverse range of lifestyle programs and activities.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities that promote mental stimulation,

physical activity, and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with the lifestyle to ensure program schedules are communicated effectively.

What you will bring
- Good communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately and to communicate effectively.
- Work as a team member, able to prioritise and adapt to various ways of supporting residents.
- An energetic and fun-loving person who can positively engage others.
- Digital literacy.
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health is desired.
- Previous experience in music or arts would be advantageous.
