**Risk Coordinator (NSW)**

We are seeking a **Risk Coordinator **to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Risk Manager, this role will provide support in the day-to-day management of the HSE activities across several operations within our business, including our Concrete plants, Quarries, Workshops, Laboratories, and customer sites where required.
This role will suit a hands-on, team orientated, practical thinking and self-motivated individual that would like to further their HSE career in a construction materials environment. The successful applicant must be open to work across various times due to operational requirements and the travel required to move between sites during the week.

**Key Activities**:

- Provide advice and coaching to site/operational managers in the identification, assessment and control of risks in line with contents of the Integrated Risk Management Systems (IRMS)
- Identify, report and support stakeholders on any internal system non-conformance and any opportunities for improvement
- Assist with the annual training plan for site HSE activities in line with the regional risk strategy
- Assist with record keeping of employee & contractor training, competency assessments, skills & qualifications
- Assist in the induction of new employees and contractors into the business, and continued development
- Assist in the investigation of incidents or near misses
- Assist and support Safety Committees and participate in various HSE meetings
- Maintain site registers and HSE Action plans to assist continuous improvement of site HSE
- Assist in completion of audits to ensure compliance with internal system and legal obligations and requirements
- Analyze data and provide recommendations through reporting on areas of focus/risk/compliance
- Raise events within the Risk database to ensure close out of gaps identified from verifications

**About you**:

- A minimum of 5 years' experience in WHS/Environment management or relevant role in a high-risk industry preferred, but not essential
- Possess Tertiary qualifications (OHS, Engineering or Science) or relevant experience in a Health & Safety role preferred, but not essential
- Lead Auditor/Investigations Qualification and experience (or be willing to obtain)
- An ability to support continuous improvement across operations to establish good performance through insight and innovative planning
- The ability to work independently
- The capability to deliver exceptional influence when interacting with varying levels of internal and external stakeholders and deliver transformational change within a complex business environment
- Have a positive attitude, willingness to learn and work with others in a team environment to achieve the teams' goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be a confident user of different software's and database systems - SAP and Microsoft Office being extremely desirable
