A unique and exciting opportunity exists for the Advanced Clinical Assistant to contribute to total patient management by providing clinical assistance across all Allied Health professions (Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Social Work, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy). You will also undertake other non-treatment activities as required to maintain the efficiency of the rehab program. You will also offer support to the Allied Health Assistant (CA3) position in this service. Duties are delegated by and completed under the direct or indirect supervision of a qualified Allied Health professional.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Provide a defined range of specialised clinical screening assessments for patients with complex needs, as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.
- Provide a defined range of treatments for patients with complex conditions, including using decision support tools, clinical pathways and patient guidelines.
- Identify potential changes needed in treatment programs using results from standardised assessment tools and gain endorsement to make these changes following discussion with the supervising Allied Health Professional.
- Provide comprehensive education to patients or groups of patients within defined topic areas.
