This is a fantastic opportunity to provide the safe and effective operation of a garbage collection vehicle engaged in street cleaning work.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

- Assist with drainage maintenance
- Perform the shopping centre program collection.
- To act as driver of a garbage compactor vehicle (As required).
- To assist with the clearance operation involving.
- Collection of dumped rubbish
- To carry out regular routine maintenance to truck.
- Cleaning public toilets & BBQ.
- To assist with any task undertaken by the Cleansing Unit and as directed by the Supervisor.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

- Medium rigid truck licence essential, Heavy Rigid License desirable.
- Previous experience in a local government environment would be highly regarded.
- Capable of working to a plan as an effective team member.
- Knowledge of traffic control requirements as to placement of warning signs, barriers and lights in accordance with the Roadworks Signing Code of Practice.
