We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Hand / Basic Prep Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the kitchen staff by maintaining a clean, organised workspace and assisting with basic food preparation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation**: Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- **Dishwashing**: Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- **Cleaning**: Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces to meet food safety standards.
- **Stock Management**: Assist with unpacking and storing deliveries and rotating stock as needed.
- **Waste Management**: Properly dispose of food waste and ensure bins are emptied regularly.
- **Support Kitchen Team**: Assist chefs during busy service periods.
- **Compliance**: Follow all food safety and occupational health and safety regulations.

**What We're Looking For**:

- **Experience**: Prior kitchen or hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential.
- **Team Player**: Willingness to assist and work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- **Attention to Detail**: A keen eye for cleanliness and food safety.
- **Flexibility**: Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
