Integral Group is seeking to expand their Sustainability teams in both Sydney and Melbourne. We are looking for Sustainability Consultants from intermediate level through to experienced industry professionals to join our team.
**Responsibilities**:
Primary day-to-day responsibilities are likely to include:
- Developing and advancing the role of sustainability and sustainable planning services, through proactively exploring and developing best practice.
- Mange and coordinate Green Star Certification and As Built Project Certification including assessment, reporting and liaison with key stakeholders.
- Simulation of building physics phenomena, including:
- Energy demand
- MEP systems simulation
- Thermal comfort
- Façade performance
- Daylight performance
- Glare
- Solar exposure and access
- Pedestrian wind comfort
- Renewable energy generation
- Natural ventilation.
- Represent the firm in co-ordination and advocacy activities with relevant industry bodies, such as the Property Council of Australia, GBCA, ILFI, IWBI and others.
- Lead sustainability consultancy projects with strong client-facing and resource management abilities
- Participate in integrated multi-disciplinary design teams designing buildings and systems from the simple to the most technically complex.
- Undertake analysis to support compliance with Australian and international codes and planning requirements: NCC 2019 Part J, BESS, Green Star, MUSIC, NABERS.
- Illustrate concepts and prepare written reports.
- Adequately communicate by verbal and written means, technical points, thoughts and ideas to other staff, professionals and clients.
- Work within a team environment and be able to instruct support staff in their work as it relates to the project requirements.
- Act professionally with all parties on the clients work to enhance the company's reputation.
- Contribute to the development of the company so as to enhance its reputation.
- Co-operate with and support other teams and Company staff in a pro-active way so that their objectives are met.
Qualifications:
**KEY SKILLS**
- Relevant tertiary qualification - bachelor's degree or higher.
- A minimum of two years relevant work experience.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to present concepts and ideas to Clients and Stakeholders
- Capable of crafting a logical story and analysis journey that can be followed by Clients and Stakeholders
- Confident in the use of Excel to create spreadsheets and tools to help manage workflows, data, and information
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign or PowerPoint for report writing, presentation and diagram generation
- Building Construction, Architecture and Building Services knowledge
- Accurate and timely delivery of work
- Meet quality targets in accordance with Company standards
- Track record of project leadership and co-ordination with design team and stakeholders considered an asset
- Achieve CPD objectives
- Use of 3D modelling packages including Sketchup, Rhino, CAD and Revit considered an asset
- Competency in a number of building simulation tools, eg. IES-VE, EnergyPlus, Ladybug/Honeybee, Radiance, Openfoam, LBNL Software, etc. considered an asset
