**Key Duties and Accountabilities**:

- Delivery of efficient and cost effective, high quality tenures management services for the Petroleum Assessment Hub consistent with the objectives of the Department's strategic direction.
- Provide clear leadership and direction on operational management issues, to a multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide high level advice in relation to exploration and production activities to a broad range of clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare submissions, briefs and correspondence and contribute to the formulation and revision of legislation, and departmental policies and procedures relevant to exploration, development and production tenures.
- Represent the Department in consultations and negotiations with Government agencies, the petroleum and geothermal industry and other key stakeholders in relation to the administration of petroleum tenures.
- Advise, liaise, negotiate and manage expectations at a high level with key industry clients, other government agencies and legal representatives.
- Provide expert and authoritative interpretation of legislation and policies relating to the administration of tenures and petroleum.
- Other duties as directed and required.
