The Maintenance fitters are responsible for all repairs, installations and maintenance of machinery and equipment across our Rocklea Fibre Manufacturing site. Please note this is a Day Shift position.

The maintenance fitters work on:

- Breakdowns: running repairs and trouble shooting of issues as they occur throughout the day
- Shutdowns: planned shutdowns of machines and equipment for servicing.

This will include;
- The timely action and satisfactory completion of machine breakdowns.
- The timely action and satisfactory completion of PM work as directed.
- Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams.
- Follow safe work practices at all times.
- Adherence to Opal values, procedures and policies.
- Play a key role within a team focused on the development and execution of efficient preventative maintenance practices on the site
- Assist with ordering components from external suppliers as necessary with appropriate approval.
- Respond to specific requests regarding the details of repair and/or maintenance to equipment on a technical basis.
- Provide reasonable support outside of normal working hours if required.
- Use and compliance to the site requirements of the CMMS.

To be successful in this role you must be a keen, energetic individual who has a good eye for detail, a hard working ethic and the willingness to learn.
