Cloud Data Platform Engineer, Charles River Development, Assistant Vice PresidentWho we are looking forCharles River Development is seeking an experienced Cloud Data Platform Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data infrastructure for efficient processing and analysis.
The role involves collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to create scalable, reliable data platforms that ensure data availability, integrity, and security, while optimizing performance.
Responsibilities include data ingestion, storage, transformation, and implementing data governance policies.Why this role is important to usThe team is part of Charles River Development (CRD), acquired by State Street in 2018.
CRD develops enterprise investment management software for large institutions, including the State Street Alpha platform launched in 2019.
Join us to work on next-generation infrastructure using emerging technologies like AI and Blockchain.What you will be responsible forDesigning and setting up highly available platform components on Azure and SnowflakeImplementing and managing data platforms and integrations in AzureDesigning and managing replication and transformation technologiesDeveloping scripts, workflows, and policies for security and compliance automationAutomating infrastructure using Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, etc.Collaborating to develop reference architectures and standardsConfiguring and managing CI / CD pipelines on Azure DevOpsAssessing and improving the security posture of cloud applicationsContributing to documentation and knowledge sharingEnsuring security controls are properly implemented in cloud solutionsWhat we valueExpertise in designing secure application and data platformsUnderstanding of Windows and Linux infrastructurePassion for learning emerging technologies and sharing knowledgeExperience documenting standards and operational proceduresEducation & Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field; Master's preferredHands-on experience with Snowflake environmentsExperience with replication tools like Qlik, FivetranExperience with ETL tools like TalendExperience with reporting and semantic layer toolsAt least five years of cloud deployment experience, preferably with AzureExperience with CI / CD pipelinesExperience with segmented networks in public / private cloudsProficiency with Infrastructure as Code technologiesExcellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skillsAdditional requirementsExperience with multiple public clouds is preferredState Street Corporation, London, UKNumber of Employees : 39,000Sector : Investment Banking / M&ABoost your careerSign up on eFinancialCareers to explore thousands of job opportunities.J-18808-Ljbffr
