Based in Melbourne CBD - this newly created position of Catering Manager will be responsible for the direction and leadership of the small onsite catering team and the provision of catering services across the business. With a focus on coordinating daily catering at high volume with the client, food preparation, presentation and service, this role will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks associated with food production are performed with due regard for all health and safety and food safety regulations. Your hands-on approach will ensure your success, as will your willingness to go the extra mile to deliver results.

**Key Duties**
- Oversee all catering and food service operations across the business
- Establish and implement stock control systems
- Maximise customer service levels while minimising wage costs (e.g. roster development and annual leave planning)
- Manage finances within a budget
- Assist with menu costings and menu planning where required
- Prepare and implement operational plans and concepts for events/ functions
- Ability to foster close and positive working relationships with stakeholders is essential

**This is a niche role in an internationally established company with potential for future growth and would suit someone with the following skills and qualifications**
- Associate Diploma in Hospitality related field with current Experience in Hospitality management
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- A natural leader with a unique approach to catering bringing flair, warmth and outstanding customer service in a friendly upmarket setting
- Good working knowledge of accounting and budgeting
- Experience in function catering and in kitchen operations
- Experience in WHS issues, including Understanding of Food safety and HACCP
- Previous experience in a f corporate catering environment highly desirable

**A current National Police Check, RSA and Food Safety certificate will be a requirement of this role
