The Environment, Heritage and Water Division is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic urban ecologist to join our new urban biodiversity team.
This position will work closely with internal ecologists, external research institutions and citizen scientists to improve urban biodiversity knowledge for the ACT and provide expert ecological advice to a range of stakeholders.

**Eligibility/other requirements**:

- Applicants for this position must hold a tertiary qualification in ecology, environmental science, natural resource management or similar field.
- A current manual driver's licence.
- Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the _Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011_ may be required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration (act.gov.au)

**Note**:This is a temporary position available immediately for 24 months**. **A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Under the ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
