**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The Head of IT Portfolio Planning is a key member of the IT Portfolio Planning and Delivery function and is responsible for working with IT Project Managers, IT workstreams, EPMO stakeholders and Enablement functions (Procurement, People, Finance) to ensure a well-managed IT portfolio of work with clear scope, objectives, forecasts, proactive risk and issues management and a delivery plan that can be effectively tracked to monitor progress.

This role will take a holistic view of governance and delivery across the IT Portfolio for all initiatives and projects in various delivery phases. The IT PMO function is central to supporting a standardised way of delivery across the IT Portfolio and ensuring consistency in methodology and templates that are fit for purpose and align with the broader EPMO.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across IT and the Business.
- Manage and support holistic portfolio planning across IT functions, with the ability to outline and drive problem statements through to resolution.
- Partner with the EPMO to understand cross portfolio dependencies and feed cross value stream insights.
- Provide insights based on analysis and data to assist decision makers better understand the health of projects and potential impacts of key decisions.
- Manage governance cadence and develop governance content as required to enable informed view of IT Portfolio delivery status.
- Collaborate with risk and finance teams to ensure financial and risk disciplines are adhered to.
- Streamline and automate key IT Delivery tools and methodology (ensuring alignment with the EPMO).

**Desirable Qualifications & Experience**:

- Tertiary qualification in a related field highly regarded
- 5 years experience in a similar, or related role
- Working knowledge of project management tools including MS Project, JIRA or similar.
- Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Working knowledge of Information Technology and methodologies relevant to IT
