Our factory as an immediate vacancy for a **Production Assistant**

The duties of the production assistant range from daily tasks of ensuring quality control areas are maintained, clean and compliant, machine material loading system are cleaned and maintained, material loading bins are clean and present for the next 24 hrs production, to a range of weekly tasks of water and air filter system checks and maintenance.

Although all members of the team are responsible for good housekeeping, your role is to step in and give the factory the added touch of housekeeping excellence and ensuring we comply with HACCP, food safe and good manufacturing principles.

The role reports directly to the day shift supervisor, but requires someone who can get on with their day with very little supervision and jump in and assist with machine cleaning and preparation as required.

A keen eye for excellence, compliance and housekeeping is required for this role.

**Must have,**
- High housekeeping standards
- Ability to lift 25 kg and physically fit
- Not shy at getting dusty, dirty or afraid of getting stuck into the tasks of the day
- Forklift licence
- Very good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment

**Desirable,**
- Mechanical aptitude
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Although not required, previous plastics manufacturing experience highly desirable.
