You will take on a key role in building a local team in Sydney or Melbourne with a focus on driving the establishment of advisory and engineering services in Australia. You will be market proactive to strategize, develop and tender for projects where the end-product will be hydrogen, e-fuels and e-chemicals. Your main tasks will be strategy development, market identification, client identification and development as well as direct client and tender interaction. You will join our Hydrogen/Power-to-X Market team

As our new colleague in Business Development, you will have business reference to our PtX & Gas infrastructure department headed in Copenhagen, with a sales network throughout our target markets. Our Power-to-X and hydrogen colleagues are focused on working on sustainable and innovative energy solutions, supporting our customers maturing and implementing projects from pilot to utility scale. The team is working on local and international projects and is part of the Energy Transition division that currently has more than 600 employees globally. We are organized in a matrix of strong engineering teams to support existing projects with an aspirational plan to grow Ramboll Energy's sustainable energy business. Your Employment reference will be to a local manager responsible for our Energy business in Australia.

Key tasks and responsibilities will be:

- Define, lead and execute the Hydrogen and Power-to-X country strategy for Australia, in close cooperation with other Ramboll units, such as Environment and Health, Transport, Wind and Energy from Waste & Carbon Capture, to provide a holistic service offer for our clients;
- Based on the strategy, develop go-to market plans within teams' responsibility;
- Identification of clients and projects;
- Proactively contact clients;
- Ramboll's face and thought leader to the hydrogen / Power-to-X market in Australia;
- Responsible for CRM of own clients;
- Follow up on plans, planning proactive efforts, conferences, development meetings with clients;
- Coordinate global key accounts for Australian opportunities;
- Be responsible for tenders - set the winning strategy and lead the tender to success;
- Be an active part of the cross organisational sales team within Hydrogen & Power-to-X;
- Support further development of services and competences for the Energy Transition organization;
- Act as Project Manager for complex, multi-service technical and commercial advisory assignments, ranging from concept engineering and development support to technical due diligence and strategic advisory for projects.

For this role, we believe your starting point is:

- A University degree in engineering perhaps supplemented with a commercial education
- A commercial mindset and experience with Business Development in BtB consultancy segment
- Experience from Power-to-X, hydrogen, chemical or refinery industry
- Experience in developing and executing market strategies and go-to Market plans
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- At least 5 years of experience in similar fields are essential
- Experience in what makes the winning technical tender
- Strong computer and internet literacy skills (MS Office or similar)
- Experience with project execution and construction
- Time and budget skills
- Analytical skills, structured problem-solving capacity, ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Experienced and enthusiastic about renewable energy, Power-to-X, hydrogen etc.
