Our Group operations are based in Liverpool St. (Sydney CBD) providing support across all sites in several key areas including IT ensuring Evolution are positioned as a leader in effective optimisation of Information Technology.

About the role

This opportunity will allow the successful applicant to be professionally challenged and develop your skills within a fast-paced growth focused team and company. The role provides timely and effective support to the business and specifically the IT team in the analysis, interpretation and pipelining of data, supporting Evolution in identifying potential areas for delivering value by leveraging data.

You will understand the strategic direction of Evolution Mining and how insights from data can support strategy, enabling timely and accurate data-driven decisions across all aspects of the operation and performance via troubleshooting, provision of technical advice and delivery of improvement projects. Typical responsibilities with the role will include but not limited to:
Proactively gathering and conducting requirements analysis and documentation across stakeholders to improve processes and meet operational needs, including with our site-based teams.
Develop and design new data and analytic solutions, designing, implementing, and supporting analytics solutions including self-service in PowerBI
Test, and remain up to date with latest developments in relation to information systems and related technologies (automation, machine learning, predictive analytics, mixed reality, natural language processing etc.) and identify opportunities to leverage these developments for Evolution's gain.
Support change to the data and analytics infrastructure environment, working in a continuous improvement manner, focussed on outcomes and usability of data.
Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution.
Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values (Safety, Excellence, Accountability, Respect).
Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
Develop Azure Data Factory objectives - ADF Pipeline, configuration, triggers, parameters, variables, Integration's services runtime.
Contribute strong understanding and technical skills across Azure.
Develop and maintain data models to support business objectives.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues.

About you

**It is important that you have/ or can demonstrate**:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to think logically and 'join the dots' ideally in Mining/Heavy Industry that has both corporate functions and onsite operations, utilising data lakes and warehouses, preferably in a real time data environment.
Detail orientated with strong proficiency to build relationships combined with strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to multi-task.
Able to work at pace and manage multiple priorities simultaneously (utilising Agile Scrum methodologies) and be adaptive and responsive to change
Energetic, ambitious and results orientated.
