We are looking for a trainee dental assistant to join our team.
The role will be full time, with on-the-job training to work towards completing a Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
This opportunity would suit anyone with a passion for the health care industry looking for an entry level position.The successful candidate must be able to cover both practice locations: Hobart: 149 Macquarie Street, Hobart, TAS, 7000Rosny Park: 26 Bayfield Street, Rosny Park, TAS, 7018Job DescriptionAs a Dental Assistant, you will be trained to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care by:Provide chairside assistance, anticipating the needs of dentists and patients, and ensuring a seamless dental experience.Prepare treatment rooms, sterilise instruments, and ensure all equipment is in optimal condition for use.Take accurate patient records, including dental histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to infection control protocols and safety regulations.Reception duties - meeting & greeting patients, general enquiries, record keeping and processing payments.QualificationsAs our successful applicant, you will demonstrate:Excellent communication skills, with the ability to empathise and connect with patients.Strong time management and high attention to detail.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in computer systems and software.Additional InformationBut it's not just about us
