Overview
Our client is seeking an IAM/IDAM Business Analyst to join a complex, multi-stream technology transformation initiative.
This role will suit someone who thrives on working across diverse business units, is highly collaborative, and has strong experience business analysis and cyber or identity access management projects.
Responsibilities
Working with stakeholders to identify, document, and analyse business requirements for IAM solutions.
Examining current and proposed business processes to ensure they are aligned with IAM policies and procedures.
Collaborating with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
Creating detailed documentation, including use cases, functional specifications, and process flows, to support the implementation and maintenance of IAM systems.
Participating in testing and validation of IAM solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and security standards.
Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including end-users, leadership, and peers, to ensure alignment and understanding of IAM policies and procedures.
Ensuring that IAM solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Identifying and mitigating project risks related to business requirements and processes.
Participating in continuous improvement activities to optimize IAM processes and solutions.
Develop detailed functional and technical specifications for identity and access management, including user provisioning, authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.
Document business rules, data flows, and integration points between Microsoft Entra ID and HCM, Payroll, and Finance systems.
Troubleshooting issues related to master data management and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Ensure the identity management solution complies with relevant security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce access controls and audit trails.
Develop training materials and support change management activities to ensure successful adoption of the new identity management solution.
Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for identity-related issues.
Perform other duties as assigned within your scope of practice/work
Required experience
Proficiency in data profiling and data quality assessment.
Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build relationships, manage expectations and facilitate collaboration.
Experience in facilitating workshops and gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders.
Proficient documentation skills to create user-friendly guides, process flows and technical specifications.
Ability to effectively elicit and document requirements and analyse business processes.
Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
Ability to understand how master data impacts business operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
Understanding of the concepts of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Access Management (AM), and Privilege Access Management (PAM) as the core pillars of Identity access management.
Familiar with common IAM technologies i.e. Active Directory, Azure AD (EntraID)
A foundational understanding of security concepts like the principle of least privilege access.
