Director, Counsel, Business Legal– Sydney, Australia (Fixed Term) An opportunity to join Western Union as a Counsel in Business Legal Affairs, for 12 months on a full-time basis.
Play a key role in helping a NYSE listed organization navigate commercial and corporate law by supporting strategic initiatives and business operations across Asia Pacific (APAC) and the Middle East.

Role Responsibilities : As part of the APAC & Middle East Legal Team, you'll be assigned primary responsibility for certain workstreams as well as supporting other team members on an as needs basis.
This may include day-to-day legal management of business in certain countries or territories, acting as legal lead on distinct projects, legal management of interactions with third parties (including regulators) and providing legal support to other stakeholders and functions across the region.
You will be expected to provide timely and commercial legal and regulatory support for BAU operations and new initiatives as well as partnering with business leaders to help execute the strategic priorities of the company.
You will need to work independently as well as cooperatively as part of a cohesive regional team.
Your work will include reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements for Western Union Consumer Money
