Come join the Surveillance team in this people leadership position, managing and guiding Senior Analysts and Leads within Financial Crime Operations to support our goal to 'stop the money, stop the crime'.
**About the role**
Reporting to the Head of FC Monitoring & Investigation this role will lead a team performing highly specialised transaction monitoring work. As a natural people leader you will support the strategic direction of transactional monitoring and collaborate with other senior leaders in the Surveillance team.
Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- This role will lead complex and major triage, investigation and reporting (Level 2 and Level 3) team and will be accountable for execution of monitoring to ensure an uplift in financial crime compliance.
- Manage and supervise analyst team in the prioritization of the alerts in order to ensure steady alert review
- Keep up with Industry trends and regulation on Financial Crime
- Lead leaders to optimise performance, using data and insights to lead top performing teams. Use the reporting to make decisions and execute to increase productivity, quality and mitigate risks.
- Lead continuous improvement strategies for productivity and to build and maintain capability
- Solve issues impacting the work of Investigators or act as an escalation point to solve issues of Investigators A key representation of FCMI to our stakeholders
**Skills and experience**
As an experienced people leader, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and managing a large team.
- Customer driven commercial approach to business
- Demonstrated team leadership background and experience within Operations or Financial Crime environment
- Strong planning, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to engage and motivate the team to meet required metrics (KPI) and to meet tight deadlines
- Working knowledge of NAB's AML/CTF Program, policies and obligations as well as Active Operations Management (AOM) methodology
- Ability to report clearly and objectively
- Ability to analyse and draw appropriate conclusions and decisions
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including senior leaders
