**About the role**:
You will work alongside the Business Data Steward and other teams within the business to identify and manage Critical Data Elements (CDEs) for the Domain. You will assist the Business Data Steward with the assessment of data risk and impacts resulting from initiative changes, and also assist with the day to day management of the Domain's banker support function for Onboarding and identity verification.

Initially this role will focus on Data Analysis, overtime as you gain knowledge of the domain and settle into the role, you will also assist with production support activities.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Supports a sound foundation for data risk management through participation in the Critical Data Element Program and a focus on managing our data risk
- Supports components of the Business Leader Data accountabilities specifically focussing on data quality and data risk through change initiatives
- Build and sustain networks with Business area SMEs and stakeholders associated with data flows
- Analyse the impact of proposed solutions holistically in order to support introduction of a new Critical Data Elements (CDEs) or changes to existing CDEs
- Assist the Business Data Steward with:

- Maintaining currency of Business Lineage captured for CDEs
- Capture Business Lineage for newly identified CDEs
- Measurement of the data quality of all Critical Data Elements to see if they are meeting the requirements of our business and customers.
- Support the broader Domain team with SME knowledge of frontline banking data.
- May be required to conduct business verification of new changes implemented which could occur on weekends or out of office hours from time to time.

**Skills and Experience Required**:
Experience
- Previous working experience as a Data Analyst (minimum 1-2 years)
- Experience at understanding how data is collected, processed, stored and used
- Proven analytical skills and evidence-based decision making
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Frontline Banking or back office experience with Business & Personal customers and processes
- Good knowledge of Customer Onboarding and Identity Verification procedures

Essential capabilities
- Good working knowledge of KYC/AML requirements in relation to customer onboarding
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Actively contribute to broader team initiatives by providing SME knowledge to help identify areas for improvement
- Monthly reporting on Adoption & conversion
- Working with key stakeholders to help drive capability and adoption
- Manage and raise production issues through to resolution
- Managing risk - ensuring controls are kept up to date and are effective

Other capabilities
- Familiar with tooling such as Excel, Sharepoint, Grace, Confluence, Clarity & preferably frontline banking systems knowledge
