Our Waste Services Unit plays a critical role in managing domestic waste collection and disposal, ensuring that our residential, parks, reserves, and public facilities are well-maintained and clean.

**Position Overview**:
The Waste Technical Officer will be instrumental in developing and implementing waste education and minimisation programs aimed at fostering a culture of sustainability within the community. This role will require managing resources effectively, monitoring program outcomes, and delivering technical advice to ensure high-quality service delivery.
In addition, you will be expected to identify service gaps and improvement opportunities, ensuring that all contractor works meet corporate service performance standards. Your ability to engage with residents and provide exceptional customer service will be essential in addressing inquiries and promoting community involvement in waste reduction efforts.

- **Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education, Communications, Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or equivalent experience.****:
- **C Class Driver's Licence****:
- **Demonstrated experience in delivering and evaluating educational programs for diverse audiences.****:
- **Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.****:
- **Understanding of waste management issues and experience in project management is desirable.***
You should be a proactive decision-maker with excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information in an accessible manner. A commitment to teamwork and collaboration is essential as you work to achieve the objectives of the Waste Services Unit.

- **Package: From **$99,571 to $105,365 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation. Salary will be based on skills and experience.
- **Hours of work**: Permanent Full Time**:35 hours per week with option of 19-day month flexitime arrangement
