**About your new role**

As Head of Risk you will be responsible for supporting the NSW business to identify and manage emerging risks based on industry and expert insights. You will establish independent oversight, review and challenge of the risk profile for the Star Sydney. You will review, challenge and sign off on identification of material risks and key controls, independently asses the effectiveness of risk frameworks and policies and drive continuous improvement in the NSW business. Supporting the investigation of incidents and issues by the NSW business you will drive accountability of company programs to ensure the group complies with all laws and regulatory standards.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Extensive experience in risk management, governance or a strategic role is essential.
- A strong understanding of governance and stakeholder management.
- Previous experience in a regulatory environment such as the casino/gaming industry, financial institution, corporation, or a government agency.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with experience in drafting policy, framework and procedures.
- Experience in design, implementation and management of financial crime risk management processes and demonstrated success in influencing, leading and managing others.
