This position is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of the governance, audit, risk and compliance monitoring functions of the Clinical Governance, Risk and Innovation (CGRI) program of work.

**Responsibilities**:
- Monitoring and maintenance of the organisation's legislative compliance register in collaboration with directorate key contacts/compliance officers
- In partnership with key stakeholders, coordinate the development and review of policies and procedures to ensure compliance and currency in light of legislative and regulatory requirements
- Undertake qualitative analysis and prepare written reports in support of the governance, audit, risk and compliance functions lead by the CGRI team
- Undertake research and policy development work, including but not limited to, process improvement mapping, developing business cases, reviewing and analysing best available evidence to inform best practice and policy
- Promotion of consumer focused and innovative initiatives to enhance the delivery of care services for our residents and clients
**We are looking for someone with**:
- Demonstrated experience supporting risk, legislative compliance, and audit functions in the aged care, health or care related industry
- Comprehensive understanding of quality and risk management systems including identifying and managing risks, incident investigation, analysis and corrective actions/internal controls
- Demonstrated experience in the development and review of policies and procedures to meet legislative requirements and regulatory standards
- Considerable experience in the development of policy advice, ideally relating to health / aged care policy or regulation
- A good understanding of how governments regulate in the public interest, stakeholder consultation processes and probity issues
- Sound understanding of process mapping, business case development, and project management methodology
- Excellent verbal and written communication and policy writing skills
- Strong relationship building capabilities and influencing skills
- Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills
- Ability to work to timeframes and problem solve effectively to meet reporting accountabilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others
- Ability to work independently under limited direction and be flexible and responsive to changing priorities
- Ability to identify new ideas/opportunities for service improvement and development in collaboration with key stakeholders.
**Desirable**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Health, Public Health, Aged Care, Health Policy and/or Research
- Post graduate qualification or certification which includes risk, compliance, or project management (desirable)
