Sims Metal have an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our SA maintenance team, based in Gillman. Reporting to the Afternoon Shift Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a key role in carrying out preventative maintenance, servicing, and day to day repairs on our fixed and mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment, including hammermill shredder, conveyor systems, balers, and metal sorters
Work to a daily maintenance plan and complete all relevant documentation
Respond to and assist with equipment breakdowns
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Follow all safety, environmental, and quality protocols
About You
Trade qualified Fitter & Turner, preferably with experience in conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics and gearboxes
Basic arc welding and oxy cutting would be an advantage
Hold a current driver's license
Preferably hands-on experience in a similar industrial or metal processing environment
Strong diagnostic and repair skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
