This role provides you with the autonomy to apply industry principles, best practices, and sound judgment in delivering multidisciplinary project outcomes.What This Role Can OfferWork within multidisciplinary teams to expand your experience and capabilities.Utilise your technical expertise to prepare specifications, develop engineering scopes, and conduct design reviews to deliver optimal solutions.Collaborate on various project phases, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.Experience autonomy and take ownership of your role, fostering personal and professional growth.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage in the entire design lifecycle, from concept and detailed design to commissioning and handover.Develop technical specifications, equipment sizing, and perform calculations.Prepare engineering deliverable lists.Provide innovative solutions to complex challenges in brownfield projects.What You Bring to the RoleA tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.5+ years of experience.RPEQ certification is advantageous.
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is desired.A working knowledge of Australian Standards.Experience in heavy industry projects, such as Mining, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Distribution.Experience in detailed electrical installation scoping and reviews.Instrumentation experience, including understanding P&IDs and developing instrument loop and connection drawings.Control system integration and communication systems design experience.Power system study experience (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Arc Flash, relay coordination, and earthing design) is highly desired.A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to ask questions and find optimal solutions.Relevant experience working in Australia.About Sedgman PrudentiaEstablished in 2014, Sedgman Prudentia delivers multi-discipline engineering services across all phases of projects from research and development, piloting, option selection or optimisation studies, feasibility studies, front-end engineering and detailed design, project implementation, operational readiness and commissioning support.
