With this, they are seeking a maintenance and security support officer who can ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the public and staff.

**Your new role**

As a maintenance and security support officer, you will be reporting to and assisting the security team leader and maintenance officer. Together you will have the community's needs at the core of every decision. Your main responsibility is to ensure that any potential risk or potential failure is identified and actioned. Moreover, you will ensure maintenance of assets within the administration centre and other facilities.
- Other more key responsibilities:_
- Maintain "incident diary"
- Provision of security and building services such as security & fire services
- Provide after-hours on call service
- Ensuring carpool vehicles remain clean, services, and in good repair
- Provide logístical assistance and civic functions
- Opening and closing of administration centre

**What you'll need to succeed**

Ideally, you have experience in the security industry. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills and is able to make prompt, reliable decisions. You can cope with maintenance work and manual handling. Most importantly, you are self-motivated and capable to deal with the public and maintain accurate records
- Mandatory requirements of the role:_
- Current "C" class drivers' licence
- QLD security licence (class 1) with supporting evidence that competence has been achieved
- Competed modules include, crowd controller, unarmed security officer, monitoring security officer
