Overview
Cheap as Chips is an Australian owned and operated retail company with 40+ stores, creating local jobs in regional and metropolitan SA, VIC & NSW, and plans to expand into NSW, QLD and grow our online presence. This is a fast-paced discount variety retailer offering opportunities for casual, part-time and shift runner roles at our Marleston store.
We are seeking self-motivated team members who enjoy a high-volume, customer-focused environment and who are keen to work as part of a team. Individualism is respected and career opportunities are available in a positive and fun workplace culture.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service and drive store sales through merchandising, ticketing, pricing, housekeeping, security and stock control.
Operate a cash register and process sales using EFTPOS.
Position merchandise to create interest and maximise sales; unpack boxes and neatly stock shelves.
Keep the store tidy and appealing to customers; maintain up-to-date knowledge of product ranges and features.
Support the store team in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate company values in customer and team interactions.
Assist with shift running in the absence of managers and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Skills and experience
Experience assisting customers with buying decisions and promoting add-on items.
Cash handling and processing sales using EFTPOS.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
A positive attitude, adaptability to change, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.
