Job Description Point Care is committed to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.Position Summary:Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.Provide transportation assistance to clients.Offer respite care to clients and their families.Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other care team members.Follow health and safety regulations to ensure client safety and well-being.Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.Basic care and first aid skills.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
