Alexandria Nanny

Start date: ASAP - Late Feb
- Contract Length: 12+ months permanent /long term
- Pay: $35-40 per hour plus superannuation depending on experience

A fun loving and busy family living in Alexandria are seeking an energetic, confident and proactive nanny to care for their three children aged 8 years old (G), 6 years old (B), 4 years old (G) and also to contribute to the smooth running of the household.

**The day and normal hours are:

- 5 days -Up to 30 hours per week available**

Tuesday 1.45pm - 6.45pm

Wednesday 2.45pm - 6.45pm (optional)

Thursday 8.15am - 6.45pm (4 yr old will be home from preschool)

Friday 1.45pm - 6.45pm

An ideal nanny would be energetic, fun loving and reliable.

A nanny who shows initiative, proactive and is happy to pitch in to help engage the children and contribute to the smooth running of the household. A nanny who is confident and a great communicator with both the parents and children.

**The carer's responsibilities for this role will be as follows -**
- To care for the children
- Follow the children's routine
- Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the children's development
- Pick up the children from school/preschool
- Drop the children to school on Thurs (Sometimes the parent's will do this)
- Take the youngest out on Thursday for swimming, park/playground etc
- Take children to after school activities
- Homework assistance
- Basic meal prep/cooking for the children and light meal prep for the parents
- Family Laundry -Hang and/or fold children's laundry and family linens. Hang and/or fold the occasional pieces of parents laundry when washed with children's clothes.
- Run Errands/Grocery Shopping (Picking up a few things occasionally)
- Assist with some light household duties i.e. general tidying and keep surfaces clear and organised. Also working with the children to keep their rooms tidy.

**The family's expectations from their nanny are -**
- 3 years + experience as a nanny /household manager with school age children
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current working with children's check number
- Display strong communication skills and speak English
- To be fit, healthy and active
- Energetic, confident and proactive
- Full Drivers Licence and clean driving record (Can drive family vehicle or own vehicle)
