How you will make an impact

Opportunities are now available for experienced hospitality trained Food Services Assistants to join our Food Preparation team at Cabrini Hospital Brighton on a Casual basis.

These positions assist in the menu ordering, preparation and service of all food and beverages to our patients. Applicants need to be prepared to work a variety of shifts including day and evening shifts, weekends and public holidays as required. It is preferable for applicants to be flexible in their availability to work shifts across seven days a week.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with menu ordering- Preparation of food for our patients- Cleaning of kitchen and equipment- Providing service to patient rooms and associated areas- Working with other hospital team members to optimise the safety, care and overall experience of our patients

What you will bring:
Along with your commitment to providing excellent customer service to our patients, you will also have the following:
- Food Handlers Certificate (or the willingness to undertake at Cabrini)- Knowledge of culinary and nutritional terminology including diet codes (advantageous)- Experience in a food service industry of at least 12 months will be highly regarded- A willingness to learn and take direction- Well-developed communication skills including proficiency in written and spoken English- A flexible approach to work and be adaptable in a fast paced environment- Effective interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to build positive and professional working relationships with patients and colleagues
