**6 Month contract**

**PRIMARY PURPOSE**
The Cyber Security Advisor is responsible for the coordination and delivery of cyber security strategy and related policy for NSW State Government

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Develop and communicate strategy, policies, standards and guidelines to ensure clients reach maturity with cybersecurity compliance.
- Maintain a broad expertise in emerging cybersecurity risks, trends and technologies to assist stakeholders and clients understanding these risks, their impacts in practice and how to manage them.
- Liaise and build positive engagement with clients and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations and collaborate with other agencies across NSW to ensure consistency on governance issues that support Whole of Government and Federal Government expectations.
- Assist with mandatory reporting requirements for Government.
- Support our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Ensure meetings and contracts are scheduled in a timely manner to facilitate ongoing compliance. Analyse and interpret complex information to ensure appropriate cyber strategies are being implemented.
